Guest Savage
My door cards looked pants... Front before... Front now drying and needs another coat (waiting now so hence the topic)... Back before... Back after... Got the trim bits in white drying off now also Thought I'd share what I'm up to as I'm bored of watching paint dry.
Guest Savage
Looking at the pics together I should mention front and back are the same colour, just bad light and phone camera making them look very very different.

Guest Savage
Still a work in progress. Haven't got a final happy face on about them yet. Sorting out the door pockets (purple with white trim) before I lacquer / seal the whites. I quite like them but theres a something niggling me that is making me uncertain. Car looks like it's changing to a black and yellow theme soon so may all be a waste of time as I'll be changing again. Still, passes the time whilst waiting for work to appear. Guest Savage
The rear cards were simple enough as the fabric pretty much fell off. All I needed to do was sand the left over bits to get them flush, bog standard primer spray, then went over with colour matched spray. If you're going black, any black spray will do. The front cards were a bit trickier in that the fabric wouldn't come off so needed to spray over the fabric. Vinyl primer (about £4 from b&q) then I used the same spray as I did with the rears. Only down side is that the front cards feel a little "prickly" when you rest bare arms on them but the other option is flocking and that gets expensive quickly. Guest avul
hi sav, hows u m8? my opinion is it's a shame u sprayed the top half of the front's as i think the rear's look really gd & wiv that u could easily spray the bottem wen the change cum's & leave the top black, which if u do go black over yellow i think will look gd in the car but not over the top, hard 1 to get ryt if ur goin a bit brave wiv a colour 2 not go over the top, balancin act hey!!!! keep the pic's cumin m8 & hope u get the outside of the car done soon regards mark
Guest avul
oh could u not use a hair drier 2 heat up the clue & add the fabric 2 peel off???
Guest Savage
Hair dryer. Genius. Didn't think of it mate. I've got one half of the car destickered and glued (using hair dryer!!!) still seeing if I can pull something out the bag sponsorship wise. Looks like the front end may be staying purple with just the rear changing to yellow. But yes, I went over the masking which is why the top went purple. New attempt at the cards likely to be purple tops with amber / yellow tie dye effect bottoms. I'll slap some pics up once done.
