AND.. align the RH drive lamps on our SORENTO 4x4 and pass the "CONTROL TECKNIK" BUT.. had to purchase a good S/H pair of RS2000's from Germany for the cabby..Might try the same measurements I used on 4x4 Did you buy new or S/H LHD units for your MK4?..........Lets hope someone on here comes up with the correct info.. ................. ....... ........ Guest avul
hi guys, i dont have any dimensions or measurements but all i do is take the car out 2 a long straight quite country road wiv no light's take a touch so u can c wat ur doin & a jumper or sumthin u can cover 1 light wiv. u should pull close 2 the side of the road & u should c where the beam is! u need 2 set the level just below the level of the road in the far distance & the kick off on the edge of the curb/grass verge & they should b set fairly close. the kick off is important as this is 2 c higher up the near side 2 c more ie: perdestrian's ect & this can b seen but its is important 2 do 1 at a time wiv 1 light covered so u dont mix up the beam patern, but set both kick off's at the near side curb/grass verge. i know its not exact but its just as gd & u shouldn't get flashed , i dont & the last time i set my own car up like this it didn't fail the mot either, hope this is helpful 4 any1 who needs 2 set up there light the last lights i set up this way was on my brothers mondeo wiv aftermarket reflector type lights regards mark
Guest Rustler
Well... Thanks avul.. I recon thats a really great idea...just so simple and effective....I think some of us 'specially me, want to use torque wrench just to put a 2BA screw in place..........we hardly ever think "OUTSIDE OF THE BOX" ....so "Good On You M8" I'm sure your method will do ME FINE, and get me through this "French MOT".........FANTASTIC!!!!!!
