Guest Lee81
Sump plug has come out. If you filling it with oil and its pouring out when the engine isn't running it can only be something in sump area. Well unless your putting the oil in the wrong place lol. If your engines ran that low on oil its probably nackered now

Guest Lee81
Just make sure they include to replace the oil pump, water pump, tensioners, tappets etc. Some don't but then ask you later for more. Its best to replace them. You then know you wont have to replace them later which will cost more and may damage the new engine. You wouldn't beleave how many firms clean the components and only replace the rings, bearings and gaskets. It'll give you a engine that sounds and looks like a new unit but will only last a 1/4 of the miles at best. Only other thing is to be aware you may have a serious fault with your current engine that means its no good for re-manufacture
Guest JordanNeltharionGray
does this sound like a good deal "What does the remanufacture consist of? The engine is stripped to bare component and put into a high pressure cylindrical wash at high temperature with cleansing chemicals, this removes all carbon deposits and debris from previous failures and brings component back to a “bright” metal. From this stage the Cylinder Block is re-honed and or re-bored. The Pistons and or Rings are then changed, Connecting Rods are then re-honed. The Crankshaft is then reground and or polished. After this the main and big end bearing shells are replaced to suit the size of the journal and the Oil pump reconditioned. The Cylinder Head is stripped down and checked for wear, cracks and for trueness then pressure tested and refaced as necessary. Valve guides are then checked for wear and replaced as necessary, the valve seats are then. New/Refaced valves are then lapped into the head then vacuum tested. We then reface the valves followers as necessary. The Camshaft is then checked for wear and replaced as necessary. The engine is then reassembled with new gaskets and seals." Guest Lee81
Sounds ok. Not sure what they mean by valve followers refaced. They need replacing unless there prity new. Allow extra for new water pump. Thermostat. wise to replace these just for peace of mind. Just make sure they do all the work shown lol.
