Guest s6boy1979
I have the chance to get my hands on a 1.8 zetec from a mondeo silver top and have thought about putting it in to my mk4 efi. I was wondering what other bits I need to do the conversion

Guest rcdunk
done it to my mk4 cab i have the 2 litre in mine though much the same as the 1.8 if you got a mondeo 1.8 stuff you will need from eacort 1.8 zetec water pump(as water pump rotates the other way on mondeo) sump and oil pump pick up flywheel altinator pulley from mondeo (should fit your alt from cvh) you can then use the engine mount with slight mod will fit straight on with 2 bolts and little work for the 3rd cvh altinator bracket will swap straight across just fit different pulley clutch from 1.6 cvh will fit directly onto the 1.8 escort flywheel and will work as normal (uprated rs turbo one if you are going for lots of power) and thats it to fit the engine depending on how you want to fuel it and ignition is next I use bike carbs and megajolt ecu to run mine (I work at chester sportscars so was best option for me ) if your going the car and me will be at santa pod this weekend for classic ford show welcome to come along hav a look and ask any questuions if you want
Guest LeeJones
I have made A thread with my concerns on this topic but have heard with the mondy loom there is only wires to loom in but as you read other threads people have made ther own mini fuse box with a couple of relays and some fuse's im sure you need to fit the hego(lamba) sensor if keeping the mondy ecu when I get more info mate I will let you know with the wiring side also if your using the mondeo ecu and efi you need a 1.8 inlet manifold prefebly the 130ps but the standard one will do it will bolt straight to the 2.0 engine also use the 2.0 throttle body, also read to use the 2ltr focus injectors
