gingergman
you will need a tool that cuts the pipe without squeezing it, and a toll that does the flared ends, not sure what there called tho! proper brake line thinggys tho!
Guest Lee81
I always use a very fine tooth pipe saw for cutting the pipes. I have a clamp that came with my flaring kit to make sure the end of the pipe is cut square. You also need a pipe flaring kit. I bought a sealey one for £25 off ebay ages go for £25. Not the best but does the job. Decent ones cost around £100 but they are so much better. For bending the pipe i always work out were the bend is then use a suitable size socket and push the pipe around it. This stops the pipe kinking and looks neater. A tip i found is to make sure you leave the pipe protruding around 4-5mm from the flaring clamp before starting to flare the pipe. This ensures the flare is quite big and will seal properly. Not enough and you will get leaks. Too much and the flare will twist to one side when you form it which will also cause leaks. Hope this helps
Guest tony.rose
Hi, try a plumbing shop for a pipe cutter and a small pipe bender, with the bender it garenties smooth bends; you will get both for about £20. A handy thing is a small round file for smoothing off the edges. Hope this helps
Guest avul
hi as above junior hacksaw & a fine file 4 cutting & cleanin, as there small bore pipe's they usually dont kink but take care bendin 2 b on the safe side & same as the 4-5mm stickin out the end of flarin tool. wen i replace all of mine i'm not gonna use the copper pipe as these will still corrode over time, instead i'l b usin the pipe that doesn't corrode but i cant remember the name of it, will find out tho, but it is more expensive. regards mark
