welshlad Posted March 30, 2011 Share Posted March 30, 2011 hi all ive just bought a head gasket set with stem seals etc, just wondering what the extra gaskets are for obv theres the main head gasket the exhaust and inlet manifold gaskets and thermostat housing but theres another thats similar to the inlet manifold gasket and three other paper thin ones ?? and also theres two rubber ring seal and a metal and rubber circular plate ?? from memory i think the orange rubber with a spring in is for the thermostat??? but what about the single rubber and the plate one cam?? hope someone can shed some light, lost my haynes manual years ago and im getting old lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
gingergman Posted March 30, 2011 Share Posted March 30, 2011 top card one is thermostat along with the top black rubber one, cold start valve is second card one down, one looks like throttle body gasket, and one is the fuel rail gasket. square card one i aint got a clue, or the red rubber one lol.
