Guest Delboybully
My K-reg cabby had some rust on one of the rear wheel arches and i have had this fixed and re sprayed. The guy who did it said there would be a slight shade difference between the new paint and the old due to fading of the old paint Can i t-cut my car. Years ago i had a n-reg tintop escort and that was 2pac paint with a laquer that couldnt have t-cut on it, what about my cab, is it the laquer or the old fashoined way of painting meaning i can t-cut and bring the original colour back? gingergman
never heard of this problem before?? i dont see how it can be a problem, even with 2pack paint.
Guest Delboybully
I thought that modern car paints had a lacquer (a layer of clear stuff) over the paint and tcut could take this off. Sounds like i have got it wrong. very wrong :-) OK so when the weather is nice and i have a day free its time to t-cut my car
Guest Lee81
You can t-cut the paint on most cars. If your paint has faded and its got a lacquer top coat it won't make any difference to the colour. The paint beneath has faded.
Guest Delboybully
ok, so does my car have paint with a lacquer or is it the old fashioned type. I dont really want to spend ages t-cutting my car if it wont make any difference

Guest Ryan_Wales
I used a 3M product on the paintwork of my Cabby, did the whole car followed by a polish ontop and what a difference. Its similar to T-Cut but I found it to be alot easier to use. Link below for it on 3M site (I bought it from Ebay tho) http://www.3mselect.co.uk/p-1640-3m-perfect-it-iii-fast-cut-compound-50417-1kg-bottle.aspx
