My drivers side front spring on my MK3 has snapped, I have a near complete MK4 as a donor and i was wondering if the complete front struts from the MK4 will fit the MK3?. If so I am thinking of just swaping the complete pair of struts from the MK4 onto the MK3. My main concerns being driveshafts (mines an mfi, MK4 is efi) and brakes. iansoutham Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 (edited) Yep, they are the same as long as the MK3 is 1983 onwards as pre 1983 had different geometry settings. With shafts, the MK4 should have lobro joints (3-bearing inner joint) and some MK3 models have either lobro or 6-ball bearing inner joints, but they fit the same.
