Help - I'm right in the middle of my winter show car project and have a real headache - I'm after a SS exhaust system (not manifold) but seem to be drawing a blank as all the suppliers only do ones for tintops not Cab. I've been 'told' the cab is longer so tintop exhausts are no good - can anyone advise - either on what mods are needed to say a Piper 3" SS system (what pipes longer where) or someone who makes exhausts for the cab.

Also I've been 'informed' that the cab exhaust hangers are different - is this true?

Tin top and cab exhaust are the same the only diff is between efi and mfi. The efi has a longer down pipe as it includes a silencer where as the mfi does not

Thanks all - I think (hope) problem solved - ordered exhaust for the EFI Tin Top 3i from Piper - they are making an adjustable centre sention so any issues can be adjusted for.

Thanks for all your info - Timax and Bosal both this the tin top and Cab as the same system now - although a little more digging with QH identified the cab exhaust is (theoretically) 14mm longer in the centre section..... not much and, if true, explains why systems should fit as 1/2" isn't much to cope with.

Piper say they want me to feed back to them about the fit and adjustment so they can then list the exhaust for the Cabrio.... I'll keep you all updated

Where did you get it from?

Ordered it direct from Piper Exhausts (same as Piper Cams). Fingers crossed it fits, looks nice and cam will full fitting kit - bu then again wasn't cheap...
