Guest Graham Posted January 2, 2011 Share Posted January 2, 2011 Hi guys can anyone point me in the right direction i have just picked up a Mk 3 cabby from Ebay the problem is the guy never put any antifreeze in her and she has now cracked the block around nine inch's , What i like to no is do anyone no how think the casting is around the water jackets on the Block ? Has any one welded up a block ? any useful help would be much help to me. if i where you i would buy a new block i worked in a blacksmith for 3 yr + and we welded all sorts with differential rods basically welding rods suited for two metals but it will always leave a weak spot on the metal your not welding the metal only filling the hole if thats any help .
