Guest 2steppa
Firstly, Happy New Year... Secondly; drivers side door handle snapped off the other day in the cold weather, door frozen shut, a little too much force applied you know the scenario! Just wondered how difficult these are to replace, there's a cable that has fallen back in the door void and I guess the handle unit is screwed on from inside. For example, will the whole window mech need to come out or anything like that? Thanks, Chris.

Thanks, Chris. hi chris, happy new year. yes your right the unit is fitted from the inside! no you won't need to take the window mech apart, but you need to take the door card off, inner door handle ect but be sure to remove all the screw's & be careful not to brake the clips for the door card! you'll also have a protective film behind the door card if it hasn't already been removed, if its your 1st time doing something like this then check your new door handle for the clips that hold the rods in place that work the mech as these can sometimes be a little tricky to unclip, its not a hard job so you shouldn't really have any probs mate. mark
Guest 2steppa
Thanks Mark... I'll have to obtain a handle and give it a whirl, opening the drivers door via the passenger side gets very tiresome very quickly!
