Paul Grainger
Pounds per BHP you are better of with the turbo converion assuming you have a supply of decent used parts. Good luck
Guest Lee81
RS turbo engine. cheaper by far. You can spend 2k on the normally aspirated engine and still only ever reach 150bhp. 180bhp is just a chip and exhaust on the turbo engine costing around £750 with new parts. I also have the whole setup for sale soon as i'm breaking my rs turbo cabby as i have the cosworth one now. The MFI setup is the best i've ever seen. starts hot or cold with first turn over of engine. most sensors and the injector unit were new when i bought the car 3 years ago. The only fault is that recently the head gasket went between cylinders 1 and 2. Still runs and holds all the fluids but really needs a new gasket. Was dyno'd about a year ago at jamsport with 189bhp and 220lbft of torque at only 12 psi boost. engine must of had some work done internally to get these figures but it was in the car when i bought it and has been problem free up until 4 weeks ago Also have airtec intercooler, radiator and turbo cooler for sale separtely all less than 6 months old. hybrid stage 2 turbo less than 1 year old Magnex exhaust Also have a spare rs turbo engine that had full rebuild and covered only 7000 miles before owner went concours. Bought it just in case but never needed it.
