Guest scrumpy Posted October 3, 2010 Share Posted October 3, 2010 i recently bought my escort which i love it drove home lovely but when i got it home i moved the steering wheel this stopped all power after a bit of investigation i found that someone had replaced a fuse with a bit of tin foil cheers for that anyway i am looking for the part any advice would be great it is a small black box bolted to the battery it has a red black and two yellow fuses the first yellow has been bodged please help cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest murcus Posted October 24, 2010 Share Posted October 24, 2010 not 100% sure on this one, alot of manufacturers use fuses ( mainy copper) which blow to prevent any damage to electrics, but thats normally just 1, and not 4-5 etc. i would check where the wires go, if they are all black, chances are , its part of alarm/ imobiliser, if not, burt of headunit/amp? Paul Grainger Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 If you can't find anything to do this you can try flexible fuse links instead, they are normally 45amp and can be bought for just pennies from an auto electrical specialist.
