Fuse Box Coming Of The Battery

i recently bought my escort which i love it drove home lovely but when i got it home i moved the steering wheel this stopped all power after a bit of investigation i found that someone had replaced a fuse with a bit of tin foil cheers for that anyway i am looking for the part any advice would be great it is a small black box bolted to the battery it has a red black and two yellow fuses the first yellow has been bodged please help cheers

not 100% sure on this one, alot of manufacturers use fuses ( mainy copper) which blow to prevent any damage to electrics, but thats normally just 1, and not 4-5 etc.

 

i would check where the wires go, if they are all black, chances are , its part of alarm/ imobiliser, if not, burt of headunit/amp?

You can buy these fuses from most motor factors. Just take it in with you. Think the yellow ones are 20 or 25 amp. They have it written on them. The later escorts have a black pole fuse carrier that can take up to 4 fuses

that is the auxilary fuse box which is for sending the power to the main fuse box and the heated rear window i think the fuses are 60 and 80 amp can be bought from your main ford dealer hope this helps
