I was just wondering what shock/spring combos people are using on their mk5 cabs and what the ride is like as im looking to upgrade at end of the month and cant decide what to get. Im quite interested in getting some coilovers so if anyone has experience with them i would quite like to hear your opinions of them.

I was looking at them. how harsh is the ride? i dont mind a firm ride but dont want it too stiff. at the moment the front has no give at all i cant even push the front end of mine down lol.

im looking for the best handling i can get i dont mind if the ride is a bit harsh as long as its not too bad but at the moment i think it may have the wrong springs on as i can put all my weight (the best part of 14 stone lol) on the front and it doesnt even move but the back is really soft so i get massive amounts of understeer and the front end hopping all over the road

What spax kit would you recommend as they do a few?

i have spax with a 60mm drop on my mk5 on 17s and its handles like a go cart and is not too harsh. as ginger man said, coilovers are just too harsh, i had them fitted to my astra gsi and it ended up shaking to car to bits but that did go arownd roundabouts well :steeringwheel:

i got about a month to decide so hopefully a few more people with give their input to help with the decision making.
