Rs2000 Conversion

can anyone give me sum pointers on putting a rs2000 engine in my 1994 escort si cabriolet ie wiring engine mounts ect ect any help would be very greatfull thankyou

have you got the 1.8 16v cabby?

 

the gearbox is the same so the mounts are the same, the only mount you will have to change is the main engine mount that comes with the rs2000 lump. the wiring is easy. just use the fusebox and engine wiring from the rs2000 and of course the ECU.

 

if you have a mk6 then use the mk6 rs2000 stuff. and if you have a mk5, use the mk5 rs2000 stuff.

great bunch of people on there and you will have no problems with the conversion.

 

all the stuff is cheap to buy too. you can pick an rs2000 up as a complete car for around £600-£1000. use what you need and strip the rest for sale. make your money back then.
