It is a shame that you let your club down with the noise going on till 5 am as there was a lot of unhappy and tired clubs out there. Nobody I met sempt upthemselves just slot of people with the same interest having fun. Good luck with the vws mate
Guest s11pyk
its nothing personal just the vibe i got, the you cant park here type of nonsense that you dont get in other scenes. jap, german even french scenes are a friendlier bunch. it would be nice if the politics could disappear before the government bans all the retro cars from our roads. i spoke to a few owners because im a car enthusiast and tbh my cabby was kind of laughed at by some rs owners. thats just not cricket. iv got the best car in my budget and so what if it isnt tearing the strip up or winning a concourse comp. i appreciate the noise we all made might have wound a few people up but im sticking to my story, if you cant beat em join em. i dont feel i let anyone down. i paid my money and when the officials told us to shut it we did. it was a laugh and like i said, people were up themselves. if you dont want to be kept awake go sleep in the family quiet area provided. next il be hearing my burgers were too beefy! dont count on me disappearing too soon. i might stick around and get myself a turbo yet!! tin top tho so i might have a chance with the ford brigade. and for the record the best car of the show was on your stand. the mk3 in blue! beautiful machine. obviously except mine haha! To be honest most RS owner club members are up there own arses!!! As for camping in the family zone we camped where we were allocated we wanted to be at the other end out the way. I paid my money too had 10 cans didn't cause any bother & for what? to get 2hrs sleep sunday ruined cause i was tired. 5 hrs drive home to be told that was a shit weekend never going to another show like that again by the wife & my friends that were on there wedding anniversary. Guest s11pyk
still got to drive your bmw at a ford show didn't you, that probably upset more people than the shouting having a good time so stop crying. Guest diggy
i think people are confused as to what these shows are about.I always assumed it was a get together with other members and that the cars are just something we have in common.I am also under the impression that it don't matter what make, model or condition of your cabby is as long as YOUR happy with it.I was unable to make this show but having been to others must say that the people who go are a friendly bunch of people who don't judge you by your car but more by the type of person you are!And as before it is always the few that spoil it for the rest of us!
