Guest partington333
Hi I am new to this forum I have a 1990 xr3i with a fuel problem she start's first time and ticks over and rev's with no problems but as soon as you try to drive i.e put her under load she cuts out. I thought it could be the pump but you can hear it turning on with the ignition and as i say she revs whilst stood. Any help would be apprecated thanks. Guest BAMBOOCHA
Does the engine sounds normal and smooth while its on neutral? And if u hit the accelerator fast does it revs right away or it takes time and feels like its about to go off but then picks it up?

Guest Alanman
I could still be the pump. I had one similar, you could here the pump and it would fire but as soon as you tried to drive it it cut out. It had lost all its pressure.
