Mrk 4 Cabby Won'T Start

i have a g reg xr3i efi cabby that won't start got spark and fuel all it does is turns over

can anyone help please

Make sure your crank position sensor is on properly, it's above the starter on the block the same sort of plug that the idle control valve has I think.

check spark on all plugs (not just 1) and if you have that and fuel it can only be a timing issue

I think that I've had the same problem. For some reason when the car has been left for a week or two the engine will fire up but will sometimes not pick up. Other times it just starts. When it does this it will turn over quickly enough but won't start, however, it will start perfectly with a short roll or tow start. Hope this helps. John

hi going through the same with mine local garage has now told me the timing belt has jumped a tooth so wont start so try that mate

g reg cars where last of the leaded petrol make sure you have a unleaded head no it if not it will need replaceing
