Mk4 Leak Source?

Hello, I was hoping for a little help. I thought I had found all the possible leak sources on my mk4 roof but when I looked yesterday there was water gathering in the rear footwell. (Luckily there's no interior in it!). It seems to be running from the boot area, under the back seat and into the footwell. Will the water be coming in from beneath the rear window? I know everyones car is different though but though I'd ask first...

Thanks mate will check the gaskets. I've had a poor quality cover on the car and it keeps blowing off. The boot seal is actually knackered, the aerial is missing and haven't yet checked the light gaskets...

Hi Anton check the back window is not leaking in the corner's as there is no drain and seen them leak here and it run's in to the boot and on to rear footwell's if it don't leak then the water in the boot is either boot seal or arial or rear light's leaking .....as ginger said you need to sort it.

Would put arial on 1st or cover the hole a cheap arial pull up type is only 4 quid would start here 1st....

Then get some 1 to spray the outside well you sit inside to see were it's coming in....

hope this help's :banana_dance:

Thanks Shaun. Well I've plugged the aerial hole with a rubber gromet and fixed boot rubber with clear silicone. The water does look like it's dripping from above around the back window area so last thing I was going to try is as you said get the hose pipe on it!
