Guest Stally08
so would it be easier to fit remote central locking or poppers? i plan on just delocking cuz its too much hassle for the mot to dehandle it, if i am right u need to be able to have a means of being able to open the door incase u crash and the ambulance or firemen cant open it? I think it's easier to fit alarm as it could be wired to your central locking as you get the best of both....No door lock's(i left boot lock so if battery went flat could still get it..there are still ways if you remove boot lock tho)and remote central locking.... with poppers you have to know were button is to open from outside as said could fail MOT.... Hope this answer's your question's
gingergman
i put a remote central locking kit on mine, cost like 25quid or something, works a right treat. as said, you only really need door poppers if you remove the door handled
Guest Stally08
so i would be better with a remote central locking kit then i am not to worried bout removing door handles its just i am thinking of buying a door which has the lock smoothed and though poppers would be good, my car does have central locking with the key but not remote central locking. Can anyone recommend a decent remote central locking system then? would a alarm from say cliffard or toad come with remote central locking? Everyone is being very helpful thank u!! I got a toad on mine mate and it's wired to central locking so no door lock's.. The 3rd one does look nice but would go for good make of alarm..... clifford and toad can be wired into your central locking so you dont need extra solinoid's(motor) use the 1's in the car hope this help's
gingergman
if you have got enough funds for an alarm then id go for that option, all decent ones will have central locking so when its fitted it will just be on the alarm fob this is the bargain one ive got on mine, works lovley http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNIVERSAL-REMOTE-CENTRAL-LOCKING-UPGRADE-KEYLESS-ENTRY_W0QQitemZ160370891320QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2556d99a38
Guest dave29
i had solenoid doors on one of my olds cars...... looks super cool and passed the mot....depends on how nice your local test station is lol but if your battety goes flat your up shit creak lol.mine never did though although i had a bit of chew getting in it one year when i was at work on a 12hr shift and come out to a car that was frozen solid so the door seal had stuck to the door and had to prize the door open while pressing the remote fob button lol.had the same this yr on my all blue and that didnt even have shaved doors.
