Guest suffolk04
just change the the oil and filter before looking at tappets, might not be anything wrong with them, and when you say engine/coolant flush, i hope you dont mean additives
Guest s11pyk
whats wrong with additives? the cars clearly had a hard time engine wise. water is brown!! and the oil needs doing its black as foook! its very very tappy. like very tappy. the oil doesn't seem to get to the filler cap! Guest suffolk04
problem with engine flushs is it turns all the old oil/dirt in your engine to sludge, which gets whipped around the pump and could cause more damage than good. same with the coolant flush things, what i did on mine when i first brought it was drain it, then fill up with cheap oil and run the car up until its red hot then drain and replace with good oil and filter

Guest suffolk04
with the coolant, just drain it, then use a hose pipe to back flush the system, and dont forget to flush the heater matrix seperatly
