Guest technoferret
Hello can anyone tell me what the cable in my boot is it sits on the right side as you look at the boot and is like a pull leaver never seen one before so not sure what its for any ideas???? I've always assumed it was to fold down the rear seat, although I've never pulled mine to find out LOL Putting it in the boot makes sense, if it was in the car then when the roof was down anyone could get in the boot just folding the seat. Guest Gumdrop
the pull cable on my CAB is solid - anybody know the part number and price for a new one. This cable releases the seat backrest - to release the seat base you have to pull a black loop which releases a metal catch resting under a piece of plastic. Guest Feeble
Without trying to teach you to suck eggs... If the cable is solid, then maybe it is pulled to it's extent already? Try pulling the bottom half of the rear seat forward, if it moves, slam it back into place and the cable should reset itself! Not very often you hear of the cable failing... Guest mk4stu
I had the same problem mate, I released mine by pulling the cable where the catch is going through the bulkhead, just about got a finger through to do it.

Yes, that's how I released mine and then I took the cable off - the inner cable is jammed inside the black outer cable - corroded? So, I'd like the part number of a new cable and where I can get one - PLEASE!!!
