Guest JinBean
Hi there! I'm Marty from Herford, Germany and just found your Forum, and I'm impressed about the Dimensions of Escort Infos especially for the Cab. Now my prob: I just found a really good offer for keyless entry on Ebay.uk. But im a little bit confused of the wiring Diagramm or better, i dont know which Central Locking Type is in my cab. It'a 94' Escort XR3i CAB Michael Schumacher Edition, 96 kw. I just put in the link of the Article, and thelink of the PDF they send me, with the wiring Diagramm. I wanna use my double locking and activate in that way my Original Ford Alarm by remote. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380172003157&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://www.rclick.co.uk/documents/Universal_Fitting_All_Vehicles.pdf http://rclick.co.uk/pdf/ford_escort.pdf User name: mkd Password: rclick Hope someone can help me. Greetings Jin
Guest Cabbytech
I fitted this system to my 96 cab a few months ago and it works the central locking ok electrically, the only prob is it doesnt operate the ford immobiliser as this is operated mechanically by the key, i havent had time to look at that bit properly yet, but im sure i will be able to incorporate it via a relay somehow, i will check which way i wired it up, i think it was like system A as i remember soldering 2 wires onto the central locking system and didnt cut any wires out, it will prob be saturday before i can get to look at it, so will let you know then. Guest JinBean
Thx for your fast Answer. But I try to explain my Prob better.... I just know how to fit the regular Central Locking to the keyless entry Controller (just got one installed right now) but my one isn't be able to activate the Double Locking Alarm feature. I got an wiring Diagramm for an "Do-it yourself" Controller, to use this function with every aftermarket Keyless entry. But it's originally written for an Ford Mondeo, and I don't know if my Escort got all This Wires in his Harness, so that i can use that one to combine with an regular aftermarket Keyless Entry. I will attach the Picture of the Mondeo Diagram, maybe somenone knows if it could work in an Escort too.

LeeMcCarthy
Sorry I cant help you at all, but can this be fitted to the mk4 as well?
Guest Cabbytech
Yes Lee it will work spot on with your car, the problem jinbean and i have with the system is the double locking part that also activates the ford immobiliser circuit, the immobiliser needs the key to be operated in the lock to activate it, i just havent had the time yet to look into it, but im sure the circuit jinbean has shown here can be adapted to work on our cars, so when we press the remote for the central locking, the immobiliser will also work. Another job on my list to do lol.
