Hi everyone my better half XR3i has decided it does want to start. I've check the plugs and theres a good spark and you can hear the fuel pump when you turn the key. the fuel seems to be getting as far as the injector rail but not passed the injectors. Could it be the crank postion sensor?

no fella you would not get the spark if it was crank postion sensor check you have spark from both sides of your coil pack then if your not getting fuel passed injectors its an edis or ecu fault.

Cheers for that fella. Just checked it again this morning and there's no spark at all now. also the fuel shut off in the boot had tripped. pushed it back in but still nothing. The fuel is definately getting through to the injector rail.

had the same problem on a 3i a few years back ... called the AA out and as far as i can remember it was someting to do with a relay switch under the dash think it was black relay but not 100% sure though ...

got to be worth a look see the one on mine had burnt out so the AA guy jumped it with a bit of wire and solder but needed to change it asap
