Guest dave29
hi all ive got a mk6 gti which was running fine until it decided to burst the top hose on the radiator due to been pressurised.ive replaced the top hose and toped the coolant system up but it still continues to do it but only when the temp gauge rises pretty high.the fan kicks in when the gauge is pretty high on the scale but the temp stays ok if i put the heating on full blast. i had a test done on the header tank which see,s if there are any fumes in the coolant but this came back as the head gasket had gone..... is there any chance this test could of been wrong n it,s the water pump gone? ive been quoted £350 quid to get it sorted.could this be a air lock? please help.
