have just scrapped missus mondeo, had 16 inch cosworth alloys tho+thought would look smart on my mk 4 cabby as at mo have rs 7 spokes, tyre sizes are 205,50,16 wondered if anyone knows what tyre size to put on,car has been lowered 40mm with rs kit just added, rolling arches no problem as done this with many mk4 orions+escorts, someone told me today size thats on may be ok but have my doubts, also have read about larger collars needed but mine off my cabby same size as off mondeo! many thanx

are they mondeo Si wheels or escort cosworth wheels? there was never any wheels for a mondeo cosworth and the si wheels are faily different from the cosworth ones mate.

if theyre Si ones they'll fit ok with the 40mm, if however theyre proper genuine cosworth ones then some spacing and rubbing on the inside of the arch will be an issue and may require spacers for them to fit ok.

am not sure to be honest thats what have been tring to work out, rang local ford centre+they said i needed longer wheel bolts and larger collars but when checked my collars against the ones off the mondeo they were the same size, bought the mondeo kitted up+alloys etc all done, just think they would look much nicer than the 7 spoke rs alloys i have now, which i will be selling if i can work out what size tyres need to go on my cabby, missus had si mondeo+agree totally different, trouble i have is alll my collars have welded themselves to my alloy wheels!
