Guest suffolk04 Posted January 4, 2009 Share Posted January 4, 2009 cold weather kicking in, but the heated front isnt. the switch lights up, so thats fine. haynes manual says relays under the dash, but which one? i got 4 holders with 3 relays. Red relay - fuel pump blue - dont know yellow - dont know green - dont know, but theres nothing there (maybe abs which i dont have) anyone any know whats what, and how to test it? First thing I would do, before anything else is to check whether you actually are getting power to the window. Disconnect each side of the connections in turn and put a test light or multimeter between the terminal and an earth connection with the engine running and the switch in the "on" position. If there is power there, remove the roof clock and disconnect the earth connection. Again, with a test light, perform the same test. If you get no power from either of them, then go to relays. Chances are that either the screen has died, or the earth connection has come disconnected from the screen itself, which is not uncommon in this cold weather. Guest suffolk04 Posted January 11, 2009 Share Posted January 11, 2009 tested it yesterday, got a feed both sides, and at the earth too. the weird part is it was working yesterday. started with a line down the middle of the screen, then slowly cleared. possible fault with screen/switch then?
