Guest mk4stu Posted November 24, 2008 Share Posted November 24, 2008 hey, im gonna start a boot build and wondering if anyone has any pics of one in a mk4? any advice on the system would be appreciated aswell. i am gonna go for a full vibe system, mids and tweets in the front, no rear speakers and then sub and amp in boot, is there any thing else? Guest sjc Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 dont..imho it will be very hard to get a balanced sound. footwells speakers in mk4 (10cm) are very low down (by yer feet pmsl) and sub only sounds truly great with the back seat down otherwise it is a muffled thud. I am still not happy in mine and have spent a fair bit of money and added bits to get a balaced out sound. My best advice is go to some meets and shows and have a listen to members cars. Here are some pics of my speakers and locations. 15" kicker and audiobahn monnobloc in boot audiobahn tweeters in doors 13cm pioneer es component mid in rear pods pioneer es tweeters on roll bar you can make out pioneer 10cm es coaxials in the footwells on this one have a look through Battlesbridge 2007 show pics for madforits boot build, Im sure I posted a few of it.
