Guest sparky1985 Posted September 21, 2008 Share Posted September 21, 2008 hey peps after long research and hard head scratcthing i have decided not to go with the standerd mondeo 2.0l 130 option but to try to go with the bike carbs idea i know they fit and i know if done right i can use the standerd ecu (even thoe i may change at a later date ) but no were says whats the right way so here is what i already know 1/ i will need a intake manifold off of ebay 2/ a set of r1 carbs (as theses have a throtle positon sensor help on wireing that is needed thoe) 3/ airfilter custom made to fit 4/ custom throttle set up what i need help with is 1/ vacum pipes 2/fuel i.e do i do away with the standerd fuel rail or what im clueless on theis section lol and any other bits i have missed any help would be great cheers steven Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
escortcabrioletclub Posted September 21, 2008 Share Posted September 21, 2008 1 you canuse ebayoneor cut and mod the efi zetec early escort one 2 i was going to mod and use the standed escort tps on the throttle bodys 3 piper do flat universal ones for this type of thing 4.1 do the throttle bodys not alllready have vacum pipes ? youwill be best to link all4 for the brake power servo 4.2 ok depending what way you go with manifolds depends what fuel rail you use i know some use thebike ones and others use the zetec ones ....... its just a disition youneed to decide marc on here has been runing throttle bodys for a while im sure he will also advise hope that make sence lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest sparky1985 Posted September 21, 2008 Share Posted September 21, 2008 thats a great help cheers think i will stick with getteing one from ebay as not that great at cutting evenly and i may cut off to much lol only a few querrys thoe if i was to use excisting zetec fuel rail does that mean i just leave the bike injectors in place just blanked off and is there any zetec injectors that i can fit on my 115 to make it better the biggest prob being there is 4 vacum pipes conneting to my intake one come off of the fuel rail 2 connect at the back of the intake then you have the brake one cheers steven Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
