Guest b338wkn Posted September 12, 2008 Share Posted September 12, 2008 removing pins from blackbox(ignition switch) will do nothing except your ignition will no longer work there is a way on mk5/6 but i dont know of it the bit your looking for is around the ignition barrel little black unit with 4 wires coming from it this is the reciver for the transponder in your key and goes to alarm control unit and ecu try ford for a new transponder as it is most likley cause of your starting problem the other issue that may cause the same symptons is the crankshaft sensor starts one day then not the next or go into shop come out car wont start id advise checking crankshaft sensor first hope this is of some help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
