But what engine would make most sense? it shouldnae be too overdone, because the car will still be driven every day...(at least in summer) I`m considering about 1.8 Zetec or RS 2000 - i think Zetec would be much easier to fit in and it will need less petrol... Guest orion88 Posted July 14, 2008 Share Posted July 14, 2008 right fox heres whast i know. the pats zetec isnt usable you need a pat less loom and then you can use any zetec engin either the silver or the black top.u cannot use the zetec box u need the cvh box may be worth getting an lsd rs turbo box if ur going that route also u will need a spare 1.8 zetec engine to swop the sump oil pump and possible water pump cant remember bout the water pump from memory but u def need a 1.8 zetec engine.then theyres the exhaust this will be needed to fit the existing xr exhaust onto it as obviousle the mondeo longer.and at the end of that u will get 136 bhp from the box my personall chioce is the rs turbo mfi set up.get ur self a smashed of no moted rs for bout 800 the straight swop and u will make money back from the rs kit and scrap value of the shell:) well thats my 2 cent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
