Hello!

I'm converting my cabrio to power roof and starting to learn wiring diagram.

Can you tell me where is "push button switch in roof" located? And how is it looks?

I think you will find it means the switch in the centre console that is next to the electric window switches, looks much the same as window switch only graphic shows roof rather than window.

No. It's pair of switches works as blockers. When one of them is short circuit, electric roof does'n work.

these are relays then there is two in boot and one under dash if i remember correctly
It's NOT relays! It's a pair of switches. And it have wires to left and right side of the car.

there 1 only 1 switch .......... 2/3 relays /1 thurmal cutout /and wires lol

what are you trying to do ? build a loom or just learning

reson is if you want help building a loom then its easy ..........

What's the two connectors in red circles? It's for two swithes. I'm trying to ask, where it's placed in the car? In wiring diagram that switches works as blockers, when it's ON, roof doesn't work.

ok thats what i thought you was on about and switches as you/they called go onto the rear of the speaker pods in the rear.

intresting how thay call them switches lol

would have been alot simpler to put pic up in first place most people would have told you right away due to most people are hands on

prints outs wiring diagrams all name things differently to what most call things ............ haynes data disc list one thing ford data another lol

hope that helps ...........

ok this is just a sort of educated guess cause i have not seen them before but i would think they are micro switches as tony says located somwhere in the rear speaker pod area on the frame of the roof so when the roof opens fully they are switched to stop the motor runing so you carn't over strain it and vice versa whenthe roof is closed

They solder on to the rear of the top / side press stud located in the speaker pod. The roof cover is different on the electric roofs it as a wire between 2 of the press studs so the idea is when the roof cover is fitted it shorts these wires together this stopping the roof from closing..................clever Ford

thats right....its wrong to show them as switches really, one of each of the connectors goes to a wire crimped to the back of the press studs on the speaker pods and stops the pump from operating if the tonneau cover is fitted

the press stud you can see to the left of the speaker has (possibly only on pods from cars that had electric roof fitted from factory) a few inches of single core wire connected to the back of it. This is where your wires connect to, thats why one is longer than the other on the loom, so it can reach the driver side pod.

If your pods have not got them, you can either tag your own wire to the press stud, or just leave them off (contacts are normally open as you can see on drawing)
