LeeMcCarthy Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 I was looking at a XR3I tin top and it says its the early type so didnt have electric windows mirrors or central locking is this true? Guest b338wkn Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 hi mate most early xr3is didnt get elec pack as std it was a cost option very easy to fit elec windows just need correct door looms plus elec regulators (whole mechanism) from 3dr escort with elecs should all plug in then you might need to run wires to fues box or do what i did and wire them in yourself just hve plenty of spare fuses for when you get it wrong and pop a couple lol as to wing mirrors not too sure if you get the looms should plug in its powering them on original the fuse box has the wiring in you maybe lucky and its prewired so plug and go if im wrong i appoligse up front Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
