Guest SG1
I got a Toad Ai606 and never had any problems but I guess it`s all down to what you want from it. http://www.sjfvehiclesecurity.co.uk/shop/c...id,7/Itemid,26/ Just looked at this and they seem pretty cheap seeing as mine cost £300 fitted 2 1/2 years ago. Guest gavbriggs
looking for one myself, from what i have read you need to have an approved installer for insurance purposes. it needs to be recognised by insurers so maybe give a ring and find out which brands they approve, also ask them if they can recommend anyone to install as you may get a discount. now for cabbies those sonic ones are no good as they detect movement, i.e roof blowing in wind, i think the ones with outer proximity are the better ones(microwave sensors???) all doors and boot need sensors. remote central locking. you can also get ones with secondary sensors that detect theft attempts or bumps, some will even display area attempted/bumped and warn you by sending a signal to the remote. also auto re-arm is a must. i'm getting one(not for insurance) that remote starts engine although insurers frown on this. just because it's gonna be fun starting it up as people are near it. lol hope this helps in some way! Guest cabbyclaire
yeah that would be good cheers tracy, in regards to what alarm, ive been told by insurance company that it has to be at least cat 1 or cat 2 alarm and i can get it from anywhere, ive got someone who will fit it and get me the certificate just need to find a cheap one, or splash out on the alarm next week when payday comes
Guest 6tracy9
I've still not got the number! But i'm working on it! Its defiantely reassuring knowing that when someone goes near my car the alarm will chirp. Some people get way too close for my liking when they are having a look and stuff - so a chirp warns them away! The Concept 650 is a cat 1 alarm

Guest rsts1fe
alarm and IMOBILISE any cabrio infact any ford or vauxhall below a m reg because they wernt fitted as standerd with a immobiliser and the standerd alarms if theyve got one dont work .car thieves go out lookn for fords or vauxhalls below m reg.because they r eay targets .bend the door frame back makes no noise .easy steering locks to snap .and a black box that a 10yr old could get off which can be turned with any thing end of a spoon even a ford key etc. never just alarm ur car i would much rather have an immobiliser than an alarm
