Guest cabby 77 Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 Hi and hello I have a major problem with my cabby mk4 the indicators have stopped working the main beam the heater and the fog light seems to work when it wants.I bought some relays from ebay to replace the old ones in the fuse box to no joy then i thought i would replace the fuses with new ones so i bought new ones off ebay and replaced them all big mistake as the 15 amp fuse in the number two slot on the fuse box melted away thats what you get for buying fuses off ebay it looks like they are a lot higher amp (25)than what they should be. i now am having to try and source a fuse box in the Manchester area but any help with the other problems would be great as they may still be there when i fit the fuse box thanks cabby 77 ps just got qouted 150 from performance direct for classic car insurance thought that was ok as new to classic cars Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

escortcabrioletclub Posted April 2, 2008 Share Posted April 2, 2008 i think we all get that sumetimes ok so the loom is a easy thing to find in a scrap yard so best of changing it ....... dont try the repair the fuse box as its not worth it once a fuse melted it will just get worse where abouts are you ?
