Battery Dying?

Ok guys, just went to start car-pump primed ok,fan came on as usual but absolutely nothing when I turned key to fire her up.

Lights work, heater works, and I guess as central locking does too, this isn`t totally a battery problem?

Tried a boost starter box and still nothing.

Has new plugs, leads are few months old and all connected.

Any ideas?

Steve.

Ok I wil check the relays and see what`s there that it could be but I reckon it`s just battery.

Will keep you posted, thought yesterday I started her and she struggled but got there in the end.

Am looking into rewiring some of me engine bay so may be a great help-starter,alternator,battery etc.

We shall see.......................

Well guys, since I posted I have had no problems with it at all and Bigjon tested the alternator and that is fine.

I will be getting a new battery though, just in case it happens again as I expect it will.

But,for now,all is ok lol

:wow: :wow:

Well,I needed a jump start again yesterday so I have put a battery from a 2.8 Capri in that I got off a mate.

Started well this morning,in fact it was bursting with life so we shall see how things go now lol

Try overnight charging your battery. This time of year we take out much more than we put in. It will be cheaper than a new battery.
