Guest Eggsy
this is more along the electrical side of things - ECU I was thinking of using OFAB with the 195 chip, obviosly with already being efi the engine loom should be ok? So is it just a case of swapping the ECU & a remap? The engine in question is a 1.8 zetec. Will be plugging many people for info - but if any of you's on the grapevine know the answer to my dilema any info would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks The Eggsy Fella

Guest Eggsy
ok then so nobody knows - so I'm guessing then If you want to use the EFI wiring & ofab ecu - you'll have to use the rst 8v cylinder head as the system thats on it now will only support 16v. On the other hand with a bit of fettling there shouldn't be any reason why the cozzi 16v management etc should be able to be used??? ANY SUGGESTIONS ??????????????????? Guest turbocabbie
The problem with OFAB and OFAC is that should you wish to use it for zetec or high power there are few people who can custom map this due to the expense of the equipment to do so.. Amhed Bajoo is one who got his system given to him by Ford and Stu from MSD in Blackpool are the only two that I know of who own this equipment... which obviously keeps mapping prices reasonably high...... but it does run 16v OK Cossie management would be fab for this purpose, find someone breaking a saffire and nick the loom and your sorted... Any ECU of L6 and above is perfect as you can run coil pack on these for a more reliable ignition system. I use the FRST inlet for the Zetec turbo's as I have seen well over 300 bhp using these Run a trigger wheel for the crack and cam sensor and your well away Want pics off the bits ? escortcabrioletclub
it dont mater it 8v 16v 24v 36v 124v , the ecu will cope the only time it will not is if its 5 cilinder or 6 cilinder or more efi turbo manigment for a 4 cilinder will work on a efi turbo 4 cilinder see how it works ?
