Guest DAZZADAMONDEOMAN
Hi all, i have had this escort cab for just over 2 months now, everything has been fine on it, but about 4 days ago, the other half said the battery light was on,. so i checked the fuses and the one from bottom left in the fuse box had bown so i changed it, that lasted 10 mins, then the next day i changed it again it last 4 hours, she drove home from work at 9pm with no lights, cause when this fuse blows you lose headlights, brakelights, dashlights just the battery light comes on, and the fuse pops when you put the key in the ignition and turn it on click from start, any ideas people please, need to sort it .A.S.A.P. cheap as well cant be paying stupid electricians to cum and cut wires, when i can do that my self, hope to hear from some one A.S.A.P thanx all regards Darren Lever ( DAZZADAMAN )
Escort Cabriolet Club
You might have a lose wire or a bad earth somwhere, I would check 'EVERY' front and rear bulb to make sure all the bulbs and wires are secure, check for signs of rust on the rear light bulb board contacts !!! Guest DAZZADAMONDEOMAN
You might have a lose wire or a bad earth somwhere, I would check 'EVERY' front and rear bulb to make sure all the bulbs and wires are secure, check for signs of rust on the rear light bulb board contacts !!! Thanx for the advice, think i sorted it now, i pulled the fuse box down this morning and checked the wires and all the fuses, and took the fuse wire bar out the fuse box to check the wire lines and all seems fine, but i did find a green 30 amp fuse that was blown that was with a relay!!! which could have been it,and i changed the fuse that kept blowing all the time again, and found another 1 or 2 fuses blown, and then i put it all back 2gether, and all worked fine again, but the rear fog lights dont work now, the switch isnt lighting up nor are the actual lights on the back, any ideas. i dont wanna pull the fuse box out again incase i trip the fuse out or sumthing again. thank you again regards DAZZADAMAN. Vincygav
Check all the wirings in the boot or it may be time for another fusebox, maybe the tracks inside it are burnt somewhere.
