took the pics so might as well post it up lol

wanted the clock to glow red instead of that greeny colour,

so bought a new clock, took it apart and installed 2 red led's into the housing

connected it up, plugged it in and it looked like this, nice and bright you could see the leds behind,

so tried to adjust them, and this happened

that pissed me right off, so decided to mod the original bulb via ftp

ftp = felt tip pen for you non technical people

put it back and it looks like this

not as bright. shouldve jsut done it in the first place.

gonna get some 509t direct led replacements and see if they are bright enough.

Don't waste your coin mate, they will show up just like your first DIY effort !!!

Do what I did, one LED bulb (I used white, other colours are available lol) in the origanal holder and put a small 2mm x 2mm peice of electrical tape on top of the LED like I did, it reduces the focal effect !!!

Better still, for £1 i'll send you a WIDE angle LED bulb that spreads the light not focalise it like normal ones do as they have a lense on the end !!!

Or do like I did,get the rainbow colour LED bulbfor your clock, and it is as bright as the standard colour bulb, plus it dont look non factory by shining the LED through the clock itself.

Mine is bright got it on ebay, it shows, red, green (the norm), blue and purple.
