Guest matt-the-dj
you could check to see if alternator is charging by putting a meter on the batt terminals, with the engine running you should see appx 14 volts load the system up and as you increase the load you should hear a change in engine note as the load on the alternator increases. good luck
Guest shaunie
tried that and seems ok but its this blue wire coming from the alternator thats bugging me ( where does it go ) lol lol and i still have no battrey light on dashboard
Guest matt-the-dj
right mate, if ive done this right the drawings should be attached if not, give me an email adress, the blue wire does run to dash via link in fuseboard, also there is a resistor in line with it check that and check continuity , check you have a working lamp in the dashboard as some bastards pull out the lamp when the alternator goes tits up and light up to show its charging, therefore its lit all the time the engine is running,so they pull out the lamp and hope you dont notice when you switch on ignition regards matt see post re: lights PICS FILE TOO LARGE NEED EMAIL ADRESS
