its being done in pearlescent white i'm having a new front put on as well as bonnet smoothed, doors de locked and rs bodykit fitted.
there are a few rust spots to do around the rear lights and the windscreen.
and i'm looking at £1500 to £2000 for everything.

it was mainly front valance lights rad spotlights and bonnet hence the turbo bonnet and bumpers

for those of you that know me will know that at easter 2012 bruce (named by avril) had a slight fight with skippy and came of worst we managed to patch bruce up for the rest of 2012 and i then decided it was time for a nose nose and new spray tan.lol
so i've spent a little time removing a few bits and on friday he went off to the body shop.

on the mk4 headlights, the bottom clip, its a socket for the ball joint adjuster to pop into, can you get them without having to buy a new light? or has anyone got one?

no for mfi you need to have a swirl pot in the fuel tank and the carb ones don't have them a swirl pot is a small pot for fuel in the bottom of the tank so if you go round a corner and the fuel is low the pump won't suck up air and loose performance/conk out

is there any difference between the tanks that fit efi mfi and carb models of the mk4.
also i didnt know there was a carb version of the mk 4 escort.
i need a tank for a mk4 xr3i mfi

yes mate all 3 are different the mk4 ghia's were carb and the tank has no swirl pot in the mfi have external fuel pump and the efi has internal fuel pump so make sure you buy the right one and you can normally buy them on ebay for around £60.

been to see the car today and its all sprayed and very bright we then pushed it out and waited for the sun to hit it and BLING BLING lol it just needs to harden of for the next few days before its buffed up and then returned to me to rebuild (god i'm going to be busy).
sorry no photos yet as i forgot my phone so going to take them when it returns.
