I have mentioned this before on here as this question been asked
a few times before.
When I bought my cab my fuel pump buzzed real loud and also you
could hear with engine running from 6 ft away but it kept on working
for about a year with the odd misfire and the odd non starting when hot.
When I came to replace it the ford dealer wanted 120 Malta pounds,
and through my mate who is a mechanic got the same spec pump
from Germany for 45 Malta pounds including postage.
When we replaced it he reckoned it was also the original pump
and now you can just hear a very low buzz when its in the garage
you cannot even hear it when its outside, at the same time I also
replaced the fuel filter, this should be replaced at least every other year.

Welcome to the club Joe, hope you get that rood sorted,
and about your husband just get him interested in the cab
lol.
-
Some cars can run hottish but should never go anywhere near
the red, if your fan is not kicking in then maybe you have a
faulty switch / sensor, this happened on my other car not the cab
and all it was a faulty fan switch / sensor
-
As pip said mate never came across this on the forum
hopes someone can offer some advice.
-
So Markey boy did you manage to do it.
-
Shephard apart from the above advice yes you can adjust the handles
unscrew the nut above the hook turn the hook clockwise and tighten
the nut again.
-
Welcome to the site mate, let us know what you get.

Mine is kept in the garage and is only used daily in the summer
and sunny weekends the rest of the year, the only water it sees
is the one in the bucket when I wash her.
