recently joined as following me selling up a load of Old Ford RS parts (including RS1600i bits) that have been in my garage loft for 20years I got the hankering for another escort mk3… the S1 RS turbo and RS1600i are my personal favourite escorts and I found that Ford did a white cabriolet with the S1 body kit as standard so decision was made. found this little local gem on eBay, engines not run in forever, battery tray was terrible and has rust mainly under the body kit so plenty to do. getting car home and striping the engine out it turns out the rust hasn’t taken a hold of the car and it’s actually very solid with only rust in these local areas, engine bay was way better than I thought it would be, floors and boot are solid… seems it’s a good basis. plan is to put an ST170 engine and make the body nice, going to put a white roof back on it and a Recaro tennis edition interior in it… and then enjoy it
