you can take the rear panels out and lossen the 3 bolts ever side that hold the roof in then making sure the roof is shut and adjusted on the front handles retighten all the bolts up..

hi mate i have a feeling (not totally sure) that when pats cuts in the fuel pump etc won't work either have you checked the coil pack there are 3 connecters on there the middle one should be 12volts all the time with ign on, it then sends a signal to either side and fires 2 plugs at once. i did have it once where the plug connectors had spayed out so i lost one side of the signal and wouldn't fire...

barry mine is a mk4 c reg you need to check the log book and see when it was registered i also checked mine with fords and mine was a early register mk4.

after some talk at classic ford i have ordered some track time at silverstone and it'll be nice for us to get as many of us out on track all at the same time so if your up for driving the famous silverstone curcuit the time to book is 14-20 (intermediate). the cost is £30 for 20 mins and £10 for a passenger. so get it booked and i'll see you out on track.

well as promised I'd report back the car is up and running on Friday i striped the clutch pedal down and all was fine (which was a good thing as the replacement segment i brought was wrong). so after much swearing and a lot of huffing and puffing i put it all back together (what a job). so i decided that today the clutch was coming out so i stripped the gearbox off and there it was a broken clutch release bearing it was totally fubar so i dropped the uprated clutch out and put back the standard rs turbo clutch. replaced everything back to where it needs to be,tightend it all up and took it for a small test run. long test run tomorrow up to Weston with Avril (must remember to take recovery details just in case lol).
