Need to upgrade my mk5 1.6 efi cvh. Have got a 1.8 zetec engine or can i upgrade the existing engine to fiesta spec turbo with just changing pistons which i have a set ?

Nice Sunday out at my home town classic car show supporting my good friend lee ,in his new Ford specialist repair centre. Mark and Stuart also attended to give us four cabs on display.

Tennis models did not come with rs bodykit as standard, although it is possible you could of ordered one from the factory. If you want the interior reupholstered find mondo ,s profile and look at some of his work on cab seats (they are top drawer) i have seen two or three cars done and the workmanship is superb. Seat elastic bases available on ebay approx £15 (southend or similar in essex if i remember right) Side stripes are difficult to get right colour,i had mine done by graphics company but to green realy. (at some point gonna change em) Put some pics on of restoration as its done.

I purchased one from the car hood warehouse,chessington surrey. £400.00 approx delivered includes new white roof,new inner roof (i chose black) and new cables. This is not including fitting which was done by a guy near to me in milton keynes.

Another silly question, did you check ht leads are on the right spark plugs.

Silly question,did you check the gasket was in exactly the right place,i.e not covering any of the holes,failing that will have to check everything you put back on to see if all small hoses are all back on,mine are all cvh engines but small hoses leaking around the throttle body area make mine run rough like you are explaining. Good luck.

Was it running ok before you changed the head gasket ?

Are your spotlights carrellos or oben. Am not sure if they are the same.

Could be seals,also there is a plastic cap on the end and that can get cracked. Mine did.
