  1. A word of advice, before you do anything to the engine have it checked for weir on a rolling road or an experianced mechanic as changing to a high lift cam and remapping can put alot more stress on an old engine. Fitting an rs turbo engine may be a easier in the long run and give you the extra power you are looking for. Good luck.
  2. Mk4 are the same whatever car,cab,xr3i,rs turbo, van, even estate as far as i understand. Good luck.

    Xr3 To Rs Turbo

There is a post on here called the bible i think tells you exactly how to do it.
  17. If the roof is vinyl its prob shrunk, mine did, i bought a replacement roof complete in mohair and it shut strait away,i spent hours trying to get the old one shut. Replaceent new roofs are avaiable and cost anywhere between 300 and 500 fitted.
  18. Am rebuilding one myself at the moment, unfortunatly they not realy worth alot at present, parts are not easy to source as they were only built for a couple of years, i think in time the values will go up , as for making into a cossie replica , well you would be doing it for yourself as again you can spend thousands but not worth much once its done. Good luck with the car i would keep it standard if i were you if its that clean.

    My Cabby

Like to see em standard, welcome to the cab club.
  20. I can understand your frustration m8,you can always find minor defects with any spray job,its very rare anyone gets a factory finish,my m8 done mine and for the money £1200 including the rear end damage i thought it was a decent job. I have seen some that paid 2k+ and been worse. Me and my m8 have the same colour as you some panels as you say do look a bit patchy, think metalics are harder to do than solid colours.
  21. High john you must be gutted, i would m8. If you do decide to break could i have first refusal on the rear speaker pods if they are in good or better condition.
  22. Looking good stu, colour is spot on.
  23. We are up for breakie in the cafe, have you reseved the tables
