hi stu ,will car be ready for Classic Ford ,as you know the date clashes with Bromley show. Ollie has asked if we can put some cars on the stand at the pod, as he is gonna run Bromley. Would be a great eye catcher on our stand m8.

Thanks Andy,hope we get a few cars on the stand,we will be without most of the regulars.Hopefully stu (gingerman) car will be done,he lives local.

Mohair is better but more expensive,not so many colours either. Car hood warehouse is in chessington round the m25 a couple of junctions after heathrow

Looks great stu, dont see many cabs that colour,my rs turbo that colour but quite common for rs turbos.

Gearboxs are cheap to buy second hand, but costs vary from garage to garage on fitting.

Could try a tip someone gave me, sit in the centre of the back seat. put your arms up the joint in the inner liner to feel the metal bars, then push the bars forward. I did not help mine as it was 15mm away but for small adjustment it may help. Also i assume its an electric roof,have you checked the fluid in the pump in the boot, if low wants to be topped up. Ford fluid expensive ,vw the same but cheaper (so most people say)

I took the roof off and tryed to get get adjustment on the hinges but my roof still came up 15mm short. Mk5 roofs are not the best,my mk4 has never been a problem in 13 years of ownership. Still not got my mk5 on the road.

Is it vinyl or mohair,vinly ones tend to shrink (had same problem on my mk5) i tryed everything to get mine to close,bought a complete second hand roof in the end.

Might be worth having a look for a replacement tank with pump still in(second hand)
