Was a great day m8 apart from the 4 hours driving there and back lol, sorry if i didnt say hello yesterday was so so tired after a late sat night. I agree tho Matlock was very busy so a nice pub just outside would be better wheere we can chat, then into Matlock later if people want. Paul

If its a Mk5 / 6 / 7 chances are it will be the cog. Best way is to open it up and have a look. You will soon know if the cog is split. Paul

What engine mount you using? You need the Mk3 engine mount for the drivers side. You will also need a Mk3 gearbox aor a MK5 gearbox as these do not rely on the Mk4 craddle Paul
