Ive got another good condition roof to fit (complete with frame etc) as my old roof is ripped and mouldy.Its a mk4 xr3i cab. Can someone do me a step by step guide to swapping the lot over and how long it roughly takes?   Ive looked everywhere but nothing in detail is available.   Ive been given an old looking cable which ive been told goes round the back but is it better to get new cables (sides and rear) as these i can get for about £30.   Also any tips etc.   Cheers

The pipe that is connected to the top of the hydraulic lifter (drivers side of the car) for the roof has been squashed and has split and not sure if it is fitted incorrectly as it seems to have too much excess which causes it to loop and been clamped when the roof moves up and down.   Also does anyone know where I can get a new replacement pipe from or is it only a second hand part? also what kind of price is reasonable?     Thanks in advance

Hi   dont suppose anyone lives in the hastings area that can weld?   just failed mot on both sills, rear suspension rail needs welding, 4 tyres and centre box has a hole in it...   had a mobile welder start the work, but has messed up badly and cut to high on the back quarter and cut into the bottom of the front wing, all on the drivers side....   or if anyone knows of a welder in the sussex area..   thanks
