right, this is the only car ive got that p****d off with ive actually kicked the crap out off..   it is a non-turbo distributor converted rs1600i engine in a mk3 escort cabriolet   for the past 4 days i have tried everything to get the rs1600i engine running!   i have:   -flushed fuel system -checked vacumm system for leaks (non found) -changed plugs and ht leads -messed around with firing order to make sure i got it right (which i did) -got a new rotor arm (20 bloody pound) -chang

cold weather kicking in, but the heated front isnt. the switch lights up, so thats fine. haynes manual says relays under the dash, but which one? i got 4 holders with 3 relays. Red relay - fuel pump blue - dont know yellow - dont know green - dont know, but theres nothing there (maybe abs which i dont have)   anyone any know whats what, and how to test it?

Hi     My mk4 escort xr3i (CVH i think) doesnt start And i think it is verry wierd! It has started every time i have used it, it was a week (i think) since the last time i used it - with outside tempratures betwen -5 to -10 degreedes. I have checked the spark plugs, when i loked at them, they were wet, so it gets fuel.
